Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republics 2022

The Palio of the Ancient Maritime Republics is a competition of galleons with eight rowers, between the crews of the town of Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa and Venice, born after the second world war and held in rotation in the four cities.
This year will take place a new regatta with male and female crew – not more than 4 men – on the distance of 1000 metres scheduled on Saturday 4th June.
The City of Venice presents a female crew, atlets of the Venetian University team - Cus Venezia and Padova University.
Friday 3rd June
Opening with the event Kiss Kiss Play Summer Live
Saturday 4th June
Mini Palio with mixed crew starting at 5:30pm from Marmorata - Atrani. Later the crews will be presented at Piazza Umberto I, Atrani. At the end there will be the solemn historical parade, where people in costume, with flags, trumpets and drums, evoke the events and characters related to the maritime history of the city.
Sunday 5th June
Competition between Galeoni: Venice is green, Genova is white, Pisa is red and Amalfi is light-blue.
