"Fragments of a rediscovered world" is an exhibition of more than 50 drawings by Igino Marangon that show different examples of Venetian Architecture.
All designs are made freehand with china (ink) on pure cotton papers, a material that allows a particular ink absorption. They are also in limited edition. Each lithograph is numbered and signed by the author.
"The purpose of my drawings is to pass down architectures that are likely to disappear. A photo is not enought for me. In fact, while I'm drawing, I'm able to undestand deeply the building; when I trace a moulding, I can rediscover the craftsmanship that has made it; when I follow a ledge profile, I can feel the hand of the workers who created it. Buildings are just like paintings and books: they need to be read and understood. Only then, we will really appreciate them and we'll be able to preserve them in time". Igino Marangon
