The 17th edition of the Veleziana will be held on October 20th: the only sailing event in the world that allows racers to reach the San Marco basin under full sail.
The Veleziana, a classic regatta organized by the Compagnia della Vela, runs along a route that starts from the sea in front of the Lido of Venice and ends in the lagoon in front of Piazza San Marco.
The spectacular aspect amplifies the strong link between the sport of sailing with Venice and its centrality in the nautical panorama of the Adriatic.
