Jia Aili
Presentation of works by Jia Aili in the foyer of the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi
The exhibition features a body of six works – four of which have never been exhibited before – and is the first solo show a European museum dedicates to Jia Aili. Created between 2011 and 2015, these works bear witness to an innovating approach to painting in the cultural context of contemporary China.
Jia Aili grew up during the Chinese economic modernisation and his works express the solitude of human beings facing the modern world: the characters are innocent and fragile creatures, searching for a History that is put together again with fragments, through the detritus of a burried world.

Opening hours: Open every day, except on Tuesdays, from 10am to 7pm.
Admission to the exhibition is free.
From Saturday 20 June to Tuesday 30 June, the Teatrino will be exceptionally closed to the public.
