Tourist tax
The City of Venice applies a tourist tax on overnight stays.

Venetian high tide
High water, or 'acqua alta', is a tidal peak that floods parts of the city, especially during autumn and winter. In the event of sustained high tides, the MOSE system is activated to keep the streets dry.

Gondola tours
The price for a gondola ride is €90 for a 30-minute tour. After 7:00 p.m. (until 3:00 a.m.), the price is €110 for a 35-minute tour, with a maximum of 5 people per gondola.
Tour guides and accompanied groups
A licensed tour guide must always display their personal identification badge. As of August 1, 2024, a limit of no more than 25 people per accompanied tour group is in effect.
Venice Connected: the City Wi-Fi
If you are a resident, worker, or student in the Municipality of Venice, you have free access to the city’s Wi-Fi network. If you’re a visitor, you can choose to purchase access.
Lost and Found Office
