Il Festival dei Matti (Festival of the Crazy) aims at breaking down the physical, social and cultural barriers that confine the mentally ill. The festival’s seventh edition will also launch a national campaign against the excessive use and methods of restraining patients in most mental hospitals. The three talks held at the Teatrino will focus on history and mental disorders. Among the guests: Swiss poet Mariella Mehr, victim of the eugenics operations against the Yenish people in the 1960s.
