Human Rights Orchestra and guest soloists concert

On Friday 15 July 2022, the Human Rights Orchestra and guest soloists will play at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice conducted by Alessio Allegrini, principal horn of the Orchestra Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra.

The concert will start at 8 p.m. and will be organised by the Global Campus of Human Rights together with the association Musicians for Human Rights, and thanks to the support Right Livelihood, the Swedish foundation that every year awards alternative Nobel prizes to people and groups committed to environmental protection, peace and human rights, sustainable development, education.

Together with Alessio Allegrini, the soloists will be: Mai Khôi, Vietnamese artist, voice and guitar, and Ziad Trabelsi, Tunisian composer, voice and lute. The concert will open with "The Hebrides" by F. Mendelssohn and will include a tribute to the victims of COVID-19 and all wars around the world, to the notes of E. Elgar.

The concert is a collateral event of the Global Campus and the European Parliament’s Annual Conference on the Global State of Human Rights, with a focus on children's rights, with the patronage of the City of Venice and the Veneto Region.
