Jacopo Sansovino was the architect who designed the church while the higher part of the façade and the internal decoration are the work of Alessandro Vittoria. Within the church you can see a number of masterpieces of Venetian painting of Palma il Giovane, Paolo Veronese,Leandro Bassano, Girolamo da Santacroce and scupltures by Alessandro Volta.
