The Feast of the Redeemer 2021
16th- 18th July
The Redentore (Redeemer) Feast is a deeply felt celebration in Venice as it combines religion with entertainment, thanks to the Saturday night phantasmagorical fireworks’ display attracting thousands of visitors: a kaleidoscope of shades, from a game of light and colours on the inimitable setting in St. Mark’s Basin, lights up the spires, domes and bell towers of the city.
This year's Redeemer Feast stands within #Venezia1600 celebrations, becoming a heartfelt moment of belonging for the City and its guests, and a moment to remember the end of the terrible plague that hit Venice between 1575 and 1577. The Redeemer, informally nicknamed "the Acclaimed Night", is part and parcel of the venetian customs: Venice residents keep on renewing culinary traditions, lores and ancestral celebrations that made this "venetian" festivity globally beloved.

The 2021 edition of the traditional Festa del Redentore (Redeemer festival) will comply with the regulations and guidelines for the containment of the contagion from Covid-19 and compliance with the local public health and navigation safety regulations. The access to the areas located for the viewing of the fireworks as well as the boat placements will be restricted and subdued to booking.
We suggest to attend the event on the water, in its most traditional way: boats positioning will be assigned during the booking procedure, according to specific regulations establishing different docking areas for different types of boat.
For those who would like to view the event on land (the viewing areas being Zattere, Piazzetta San Marco, Riva degli Schiavoni, Giudecca), the access will be restricted and subdued to booking and consent to the exhibition of Covid-19 Green Certification on the day of the event.
Given what is defined by the Prime Ministerial Decree June 17, .2021, the Green Certification proves:
Only people over the age of 18 can book.
If you are a resident of the Municipality of Venice, or guest in a hotel or restaurant in the area reservede for the viewing of fireworks, you will still be allowed to reach your destination by showing an ID or a reservation for said hotel or restaurant.
Book your place to assist the fireworks. Bookings open on July 13th. Due to the current pandemic situation, booking is initially reserved for residents of the Municipality of Venice. If you are a resident of Giudecca Island, you will have priority booking for the Giudecca area. If there are places available, the booking system will also be open to non-residents of the Municipality of Venice. We point out that there are no limitations to take part in the event by boat.
