Musica liquida

by Rosa Vetrano

Topics:
Musicaliquida is an installation by Rosa Vetrano dedicated to the environmental sustainability. Rosa Vetrano, www.rosavetrano.it works have been exhibited internationally (New York, Paris).
The multi sensorial installation of Musicaliquida is made of recicled plastic collected and transformed into poetical luminous objects that recall the sea abysses with the intent to stimulate awareness on this topic. Each work is a work of art as it is manually realized by the artist.

THE THREE SENSES
The installation is realized inside a dark room in which these works of art, reproducing jellyfishes are suspended from the ceiling. When moving among the jellyfishes, while touching them they illuminate and fluctuate giving a sense of peace and pleasure to the installation visitors accompanied by the sound of classic music mixed with the sound of the sea.

PROJECT PHILOSOPHY
Musicaliquida creatures symbolaze the sea that needs to be protected from pollution. The artist uses these creatures to sensitise on the safeguard of the environment and especially of the sea. The intent is to awake awareness starting from recycling and while doing so promoting creativity and production of useful objects. This is the aim of the cooperation between Rosa Vetrano Architectures and the non profit association The Blue Dream Project to whom goes part of the income coming from the sale of the jellyfishes. And this intent of awaking awareness on the safeguard of the environment motivates the participation in the project of COREPLA, National Consortium for the Collection and Recycling of plastic packages.
