Gianmaria Buccellati. Goldsmithing masterpieces

The grace and elegance of the golden jewellery masterpieces by Gianmaria Buccellati, one of the most important creative personalities in 20th century fine jewellery, come together in a new exhibition in the extraordinary setting of the Salone Sansoviniano of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in Venice, where you can admire the 21 tondi (canvases) painted on the ceiling by the most in vogue artists of the sixteenth century, including Paolo Veronese, chosen by the Procurators of San Marco in agreement with Titian and Sansovino, and the cycle of portraits of philosophers to which Jacopo Tintoretto contributed.
From May 23 to November 12, 2017, more than 75 works by the master of Milan will be on display in the Salone Sansoviniano of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in Venice in an exhibition dedicated to "Gianmaria Buccellati: Masterpieces of the goldsmith's art", a pathway for documenting the centrality of technical perfection and the variety of goldsmithing techniques within the Buccellati style.
Promoted by the Fondazione Gianmaria Buccellati and the Gianmaria and Rosa Maria Buccellati International Foundation in collaboration with the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana, the exhibition is curated by Rosa Maria Buccellati and Chiara Tinonin, with coordination by Swiss Luxury Culture Management.
