Church of Santa Fosca

It is a church with a central plan, surrounded by an octagonal portico, dating back to the XI-XII century. It is therefore almost contemporary of St. Mark's Basilica. Noteworthy are the apses of the church, refined and reminiscent of San Donato Murano: the main apse is bandaged from duer rows of blind arches; characteristic is the crowning " wolf teeth " triangular. Inside the room it is square and bolting upwards connects with the circular dom : an essential space that expresses an abstract sacredness, in a balanced harmony between form and light.
