For the New York Times is "one (and in some ways the unique) of the most inventive food activists".
United Food of Venezia, an itinerary through popular cuisine, art and society, arrives at Baia di Forte Marghera on the evening of Sunday 29th Semptember at 6:00pm.
How has gastronomy, culture and the society of the metropolis changed, thanks to the arrival of foreign chefs and their restaurants? Cities change their identity and the first source of this change are the people who emigrate there, bringing from afar the uniqueness of their stories and the provocations of their cuisine. Food is the summary of a culture, and “ethnic” restaurants are a globe places to reach easily, a few steps from home. Starting from “integralism” of the original recipes, through contamination and exchange, the result is a new, rich and mixed identity. “United Food of” is a project that combines research on the ancient knowledge of food and the use of new media technologies. The project has already been realized in Toulouse, Paris, Rome by Donpasta.
