To celebrate the highest tribute to the Leone di San Marco, symbol of our City, as a lion painted on a large canvas will fly up to the bell tower over the audience in the square.
To welcome him, on stage of San Marco, twelve young ladies from Venezia, the “Marie” will greet the flag.
The event is a ritual full of emotions, to say goodbye to the 2019 Venice Carniva from February 16th to March 5th.
During the event, towards 4.00 p.m.,the award ceremony for the 2018 winning “Maria” will be staged in San Marco Square.
