From 9 to 24 April 2016, Sant' Apollonia Hall of Diocese Museum will host the exhibition Wooden Intarsia by Sansovino. Four of the six lost intarsia-works by two great protagonists of the 16th century Venice, Andrea Gritti (1523-1538) and Jacopo Sansovino (1527-1570), are back to offer their message. The exhibition will highlight the value of those precious intarsia on the reredos, representing the Virtues, offering an overview of the complete layout of the original furnishing decorating the presbitery at S. Mark's basilica. Curated by Ettore Vio.
