Feast of the Ascension

Every year millions of visitors came in Venice attracted by world-wide events. Among these stands out the Festa della Sensa, which, more than any other event, revives the thousand-year history of the Serenissima, its intimate relationship with the Sea and with the practice of Venetian rowing. The Gemellaggio Adriatico of 2018 was with the Cities of the Croatian Adriatic coast - Pula, Poreč, Rovinj, Umag, citadel, jellyfish, Lošinj, kerso, arbas, this year instead the Festa della Sensa will take place in the same days in which Venice hosts 64. Palio delle Repubbliche Marinare. The Gemellaggio Adriatico will be with the cities of Amalfi, Genoa and Pisa.

 The program includes 3 days of celebrations that will culminate, Saturday 1 June, with the Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republics and Sunday 2 June with the water procession and the ceremony of the wedding of Venice with the sea.

First route 16 km starting from the lagoon terrace of malamocco h 7.30
Second route 14 km starting from Basilica di San Marco h 7.30  
Union and meeting Breakfast of the two routes at 8.45 terrace lagoon P.le S. M. Elisabetta Lido and departure at 9.00 to Porta del Mare
