Ca' Michiel dalle Colonne, Venice: from a noble building to the headquarters of the MiBACT Regional Secretariat for Veneto

MiBACT Regional Secretariat far Veneto - Ca' Michiel dalle Colonne in partnership with TeatrOrtaet

The MiBACT Regional Secretariat for Veneto proposes a theatrical video performance in historical costume created by the cultural association TeatrOrtaet dedicated to the events of various historical figures from the more recent and the less recent past who lived within the prestigious walls of Ca' Michiel dalle Colonne, a Venetian patrician residence along the Grand Canal, where celebrities such as the famous writer Giustina Renier Michiel lived and hosted a literary salon here that was appreciated by contemporaries between the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth century. The video will be shown to the public, who has already had the opportunity to appreciate the frescoed and stuccoed halls of the noble floors of the building during the special openings of the European Heritage Days in 2019 and 2020, to introduce the history and beauty of this monumental building that although dates back to the seventeenth century has its roots deep in the ancient history of the Venetian Republic that will be celebrating the 1600th anniversary of its foundation this year. The video will be financed entirely by MiBACT funds and will be promoted on the Ministry's social channels and official website, as well as on the channels of the Municipality of Venice and the stakeholders involved.
