A guided excursion on the Dragon Boat with the Ca' Foscari Sport staff.
A unique occasion experiencing the thrill and excitement of rowing in the Grand Canal and admiring the historic Ca' Foscari buildings - all from an exclusive point of view.
The Dragon Boat is a traditional Chinese sea-going vessel. It dates back to ancient times and is characterized by a colourful dragon head positioned at the bow.
The paddle rowing is carried out by two parallel lines of rowers: it is a group activity and each participant contributes to navigating the boat.
The Ca' Foscari Sport staff (the skipper - an expert on Venetian navigation, and the head-rower - an expert in navigating dragon boats) will accompany participants during the route.
The tour leaves from CFZ - Ca' Foscari Zattere, passes in front of the famous Ca' Foscari façade and continues on through the Venetian canals to Ca' Cappello. The route includes cruising along the San Trovaso Canal until the Grand Canal, in order to admire some of the university buildings: Ca' Bernardi, Ca' Cappello and the famous Ca' Foscari façade - all from an innovative point of view.
During the excursion, a guide will comment on the University buildings along the Grand Canal.
