Salone dell'Alto Artigianato Italiano

THE EXHIBITION
The first edition of the Salone dell’Alto Artigianato Italiano (the Exhibition of Superior Italian Craftsmanship) is coming to Venice, a unique event celebrating Italian art and craftsmanship in the heart of the lagoon, the cradle of ancient crafts and expertise that has been handed down over the centuries. The first edition is scheduled from September 28 to October 1 in the atmospheric Arsenale di Venezia, a prestigious location that will be the setting for the works of art exhibited by master craftsmen from all over Italy.
During the Exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the best know-how across a variety of disciplines ranging from ceramics to fine fabrics, from blown glass works to precious stones, from jewellery to furniture, to name just a few. The place that was once the beating heart of naval art and seamanship of the Venetian Republic will be for four days a privileged showcase to admire and purchase a selection of artefacts of the highest quality and the most exclusive design.  It will also be an opportunity to meet the artisans and learn about their history and the creative process behind the creation of each individual object.

Venice is the oldest city of the future, a magical place that has preserved its beauty and its uniqueness over the centuries. Arsenale di Venezia, one of the symbols of the Venetian Republic’s history, is the ideal setting to host Salone dell’Alto Artigianato Italiano, offering a combination of history, art and culture in the footsteps of ancient crafts in a city that has established itself worldwide for the excellence of its creations.

THE LOCATION
Tese delle Nappe and San Cristoforo are ancient pavilions that have been completely restored, which are characterised by Istrian stone columns and large, bright vaults, with a combined area of 6,000 square metres.

THE 2023 EDITION
The first edition of the event will feature a significant national and international promotion and communication campaign, including testimonials, sustainability awards, institutional events, workshops, and the creation of related supporting activities.
