VEZ, the new location for the Civic Library of Mestre was inaugurated in 2013, year of its 60th anniversary. The Villa was built in XVII Century as a country house, and still preserves some original frescos of animals and nature, and some handpainted ceiling beams.
The library offers 50.000 books (Literature, art, architecture, local history); 300 newspapers and magazines; 7000 cd; 5.000 dvd; 87 reading seats, 20 computer stations and more. VEZ also includes another location in Via Miranese with 220 reading stations and a 90 seats conference room.
It is also possible to access the Media Library On Line (MLOL), a digital library that allows users to read national and international magazines and newspapers, ebooks; listen to music, watch videos and more.
