4444 Acqua e Fuoco

Topics:
From 25 January to 1 April 2019 in Venice at  Ca ' Rezzonico-Museo del Settecento Veneziano.

An exhibition project born from an idea of the sculptors Toni Venzo and Marco Martalar which tells through the language of contemporary art, the ancient history and present of the bond with their roots and to the Earth: the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni and Valle del Brenta.
The contemporary sculptures by Venzo and Martalar, with abstract and essential shapes, in a play of volumes and processing of the wooden material, inhabit ancient spaces, entertaining a dialogue made of history and messages from a past time that gave humus and nourishment to a creative spirit also present today. The contrast between ancient and contemporary art is a stimulus for reflection on the natural evolution of artistic creation.
