Cento anni di NasonMoretti

Storia di una famiglia del vetro muranese

Topics:
The exhibition aims to celebrate one of the most flourishing and original realities in Murano, NasonMoretti, which in 2023 celebrates a hundred years of activity. An opportunity to look back, open the archives, and share with the public of the Glass Museum an important story made up of over ten thousand models.

Founded in 1923, the Nason & Moretti glassworks immediately chose a specific direction - the art of the table - and with a touch of profound modernity, capable of honoring traditional techniques of the past, reinterpreting them in contemporary formulas.

With a rich palette and a constant openness to the new, Nason & Moretti has become a reference point in design since the 1950s when in 1955 the Lidia goblets won the Compasso d'Oro, and its regular presence at the Venice Biennale began. The exhibition - and the subsequent celebratory volume - will showcase the most successful objects created by the furnace and collaborations with some important names in design and architecture, not forgetting a section dedicated to the present to demonstrate the great vitality of this historic Murano family business.
