IL Premio Burano. 1946 -1956

Burano Prize 1946 -1956

Topics:

The origin of Scuola di Burano (school of painting) dates back to one century ago, when the island became a favorite holiday destination of both foreign and local painters who shared the same work environment and painting subjects.

The 'Scuola di Burano' was named in 1939 by Guido Piovene and, after World War II, four editions of the Prize that took its name from the island gave official recognition to the painting school.

The exhibition features exclusive paintings and graphic works awarded in the 4 editions of Burano Prize (1946,1951,1953,1956).
