Alberto Biasi:La Materia della Visione 1959–2019

On the occasion of the 58 ° Biennale of Venice, will inaugurate the exhibition ALBERTO BIASI. The matter of Vision 1959-2019 curated by Marco Meneguzzo at the Great School of Mercy. The exhibition will be a tribute to the work of Alberto Biasi, and to the constant research of materials and materials that has characterised sixty years of artistic production.

 

"The Matter of vision": more than a real matter, physically tangible, the "matter" that is spoken of is the mental, cultural, physiological contribution of the Spectator, who is stimulated by the work to discover the modalities of "seeing". The work, and consequently its subject matter, is therefore a catalyst of the mode of vision, which make the spectator participate and aware of the same mental processes that led the artist to create and organize his work, translated then into works.

The exhibition is therefore a path through various stages of elaboration, development, and concretization of a single great idea of "seeing". Thus, in the grandiose salon of the School of Mercy, the public will be able to admire both the first intuitive works, dating from sixty years ago, that the last results, linked together by the Fil Rouge of Optics and the cognitive process linked to seeing.
